All-Star Volleyball Game

Dear Coach:

Once again Coastal Bend Coaches Association is proud to host the Annual Coastal Bend Coaches All-Star Volleyball Game.  This year we have split the game into two divisions, big school & small school.  The game will be held at Corpus Christi Miller High School on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10am.  Currently, 50 plus high schools have been invited to recommend outstanding senior volleyball players to participate.

All-Star Coaches for this year's big school division will be Kara Wallace from Flour Bluff HS and Ashley Pettus from Calallen HS. All-Star Coaches for this year's small school division will be Laura Gonzales from Stockdale HS and Klara Calvez from Agua Dulce HS. Practice facilities and times will be set by the All-Star coaches. 

Please review and complete the enclosed nomination form and enclose a brief biography of the student.  The seniors selected to the team must supply their own equipment and all players will wear either their schools home/away uniform for the game.  Students and their parent must sign a waiver not to hold the CBCA, school and/or coaches responsible for any injuries. 

All net proceeds received from the volleyball games will go into the CBCA Scholarship Fund which has the primary objective of awarding college scholarships to coaches’ children.

Coastal Bend Coaches Association All-Star Volleyball Game

Nominating Guidelines

All nominees must be seniors who have completed all high school athletic competition.  Any athlete (who graduated at mid-term and) enrolled in college is not eligible to be selected for an all-star team

Each school can nominate up to 4 players.

To be eligible for to participate in the All-Star Volleyball Game, all nominations are due no later than Sunday, April 21, 2024, for team selection.

The following documents are required students selected as All-Star Volleyball participants.

1. Hold harmless waiver concerning the CBCA and Coaches
2. A copy of a passed physical examination for the current school year
3. An agreement to abide by rules and regulations set forth by CBCA
4. Proof of medical insurance coverage or a signed waiver by a parent of legal guardian
5. An agreement acknowledging that each player is responsible for his own transportation to/from all practices and the All-Star game.
6. A signed statement from your high school coach, parent or legal guardian, that a routine of conditioning has taken place in preparation for the All-Star practices and game.
