As a senior graduating from high school this year, you are eligible to apply for a Coastal Bend Coaches Association Scholarship. All scholarship recipients will receive the same amount, not to exceed $1,000 per recipient based on available funds. Below are the guidelines to follow if you wish to apply. Please remember that the deadline is May 30, 2025.
1. The applicant must be a graduate of a high school which is a member of the CBCA.
2. The applicant’s parent must be an active member of the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) or the Texas High School Girls Coaches Association (THSGCA) and the parent’s school must have been a member of the CBCA for a minimum of three (3) years.
3. The student must have an overall average of 80 or above throughout his/her high school career to be considered for a scholarship.
4. The student requesting a scholarship from the CBCA must complete the Scholarship application, prepare a letter of interest and include a transcript of his/her high school grades and a copy of his parent THSCA or THSGCA membership card.
5. Upon receipt of the application, the committee will review and respond to each scholarship applicant.
6. Scholarship must be used for the fall college session.
7. The amount allotted to the student will be paid to the student upon receipt of a paid tuition bill showing the student has enrolled in 12 or more college hours.
8. Failure to submit tuition receipts to the CBCA designee by October 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded will result in forfeiture of the scholarship by the student.
